Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Parking Reviews

   12/03/2009

The wait time is unexceptable. I had to wait exactly half an hour to get picked up. This was the second time in a row that I experience long wait time from this facility. Every other companies bus/van came and went three times befor I got picked up.

Long wait for shuttle service from the airport. There were several others that passed us several times before ours made it once. The worse part was they left my lights on at valet and my battery was dead on the pick up. After waiting for approx. 30 minutes I inquired about what was taking so long and was told it would be up right away. After a continued wait, I learned about the battery dying. I wish they would have been up front initially instead of being dishonest. I also wish they would've taken responsibility for my battery dying in the first place. Bad service.

The people at Johnny Park were very polite. I would have never parked here without the info I found on the website. It was nice to have my car waiting when I returned.

My only issue is their method of picking up the clients when they arrive. There phone msgs are very confusing. Do you or don't you speak with someone to let them know you are here. I waited 25 minutes for a van to come to curb side. During that time two vans passed me that were in the wrong lane to pick up anyone waiting.

Attendant at gate would not accept the conformation email displayed on my iphone screen. She stated that it had to be printed out even though the conformation number and booking details were clearly visible.

A $45 fee fast became $170!

After 5 minutes of protestation she finally relinquished. All the information was right in front of her and this was clearly just a method of extorting money from pre-paid customers.

This is very poor customer service. Holding customers to ransom is not a good way to encourage repeat business. As a result I will use an alternative service at LAX.

More "in your face" signage would be helpful to find exactly where to enter the garage for airport parking. I did not see the sign that stated airport parking was on Levels 4-8 only. Thus I parked on Level 1. After passing spots that had reserved signs posted on the wall, I parked in a space that I thought had no restrictions. Wrong! I did not see the reserved and tow signs that were below my windshield vision. When I returned, I found that my car had been towed, and I was presented with a bill of $481 that I had to pay in order to obtain release of my car! I won't park here again because of this bad experience and also I don't want to make my way down from 4th-8th floors to catch the shuttle.

one shuttle every 20 minutes is unexceptable. by the time the next shuttle comes it's already full. after waiting 1.5 hours for a shuttle that had room in it for the three of us traveling, i broke down and called a cab. very shitty experience!!!

Johnny Park sometimes offers great rates, about $6/day, and that's why I park with them. Their service has always been courteous.

The downside is the long waits for the shuttle pickup at LAX and in line to claim your car. Recently they seemed to improve the service time at the counter but the shuttle is still a long wait.

I'll be back because of their rates but I wish they would shorten the long wait times.

The Valets were courteous, attentive and fast. I was very impressed by their attitude. I did have to wait 20 minutes for the shuttle to the airport and found out it makes quite a few stops at other hotels to pick up people.

The only issue was that the confirmation print out doesn't give you enough information on the shuttle. How many times it rounds in an hour, what the shuttle looks like (for when you are on your way back) and exactly what area to stand in for the shuttle. There are a few different shuttle areas at LAX. Besides that the price was right, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks!

It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to find parking spot. So you need extra time for that especially in travel peak season. Other than this, everything is great.
